Les Palais Bulles: The Iconic Bubble Palace, Now with a $300 Million Discount!

Palais Bulles, or the Bubble Palace, is a unique residence in Théoule-sur-Mer near Cannes, France. Designed by Hungarian architect Antti Lovag, the property was built between 1975 and 1989 for French industrialist Pierre Bernard and later acquired by fashion designer Pierre Cardin. Lovag designed the 1,200-square-meter house as a playful space avoiding straight lines. The estate features a reception hall, panoramic lounge, 500-seat open-air amphitheater, multiple swimming pools and landscaped grounds. The mansion has 29 rooms, 11 bathrooms and 10 artist-decorated bedrooms. Cardin purchased the house after Bernard’s death in 1991. Following a five-year renovation by architect Odile Decq completed in 2016, the property was listed for €350 million in 2017 but did not find a buyer. The article states it was available for rent at $33,200 per day and later offered at $50 million after a stated $300 million discount.
